Learning about animals is fun and rewarding!
Is your class interested in learning more about animals? We have programs to present at your school. We have informational handouts, question and answer periods and can even bring shelter animals for a visit! Class topics include, but are not limited to the following:
Pet Care
Humane Animal Treatment
The Violence Link
Animal Cruelty and Neglect, what can you do to help?
Animal Overpopulation
The Animal Welfare Society
Animal Safety
Dog Bite Prevention
Kids and Canine Companions- a program for children's libraries, classrooms or at the shelter.
If you have a topic of interest that is not listed here, please ask and we will do our best to meet your needs. Humane education is an important part of the learning experience. In light of the link between violence forms, now is the time to teach kids to be humane to all living creatures! Please note that there is a charge of $40.00 per visit to cover shelter costs for schools that would like than one presentation a year.
