BUXTON PUPPY MILL SEIZURE UPDATE (DAY SIX)

Public Responds for Volunteerism/Still have Need for Monetary Donations
Aug. 26, 2007 - With the phones ringing off the hook, AWS has received an overwhelming repsonse to a plea for help from the general public and are currently taking inventory of people's availabilities and capabilities for volunteerism. The staff is encouraged and comforted by the community's support and calls will be acknowledged in the coming week. Although volunteers are ready and waiting, monetary donations are still sorely needed in order to cover the cost of this unexpected drain on the Society's resources. Executive Director, Steve Jacobsen explains, Ō This is clearly a disaster and the response from the public has been terrific. Ō He adds that the shelterÕs operations have been severely impacted by the service that AWS is providing in Buxton and that monetary donations are especially needed to continue the shelterÕs mission.
