Due to possible exposure to distemper virus back in October, the Animal Welfare Society decided to undergo a self-imposed 90-day quarantine of the exposed animals to ensure that they would not fall ill or spread this virus. This was a serious undertaking to consider. The health and well-being of the animals is always a top priority and it took a lot of brainstorming, planning and commitment to pull it off. Adoption day is finally drawing near and these dogs have all come through with flying colors. A team of dedicated staff and volunteers have made it all possible. During quarantine these deserving canines have been polishing up on potty training, obedience work, agility training and have had their physical, psychological, and emotional needs addressed through structure, creative play, enrichment, training and socialization. We are very proud of our staff, volunteers & dogs and are happy to have conquered this challenge. Be prepared to meet some extraordinary dogs that will be ready for new homes beginning January 30th!!
