In 2009 AWS cared for over 1,000 kittens and this year is no different. We currently have a wide variety of adorable kittens for adoption. These precious bundles of fluff come up to date on vaccines, spay or neuter surgery, a post-adoption free health exam certificate, carry home box, plus a collar and a tag. The following are some representatives of kittens who are ready and waiting for you! We usually will have more kittens than you see online and we encourage you to come visit during our adoption hours.

Adoption fees:
- Kittens less than 6 months old are $99.00 or two for $160.00
- Cats 6 months to 8 years old are $79.00 each or two for $140.00
- Cats 8 years and up are $59.00 or two for $80.00
If you are interested in adopting a cat, simply fill out and print an application, submit an application online, or stop by the shelter to complete the process. The adoption fee includes spaying or neutering, the first series of vaccinations, leukemia testing, internal and external parasite control, a cat carrier, and a collar with ID tag. In light of pet overpopulation problems in Maine, the AWS makes sure that all of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered before going into their new home.
