"Purvis"

Purvis. What a name eh? Doesn't exactly sound as noble or sweet as something like "Charles" or "Frankie." Why give such an adorable dog such an odd name? Well, if it makes you feel any better, there was a Melvin Purvis who led the manhunt to track John Dillinger. So, there is some prestige to the name. This Purvis won't be leading any manhunts, but he does like to hunt down toys. Squeakies are his favorite, but just about any will do. Unfortunately he likes to hunt cats as well, so he can't share a home with any. He's still very friendly though, and would be happy to share a new home with other dogs and respectful children over the age of 10. Purvis would make a great companion for going on a leisurely walk or just relaxing about the house. Loyalty is one of his best qualities and he's got it in spades. While his name might not be the flashiest or most elegant, this 3-year old Shiba Inu proves that you can't always judge a dog by his name. Purvis will no doubt enliven any home he inhabits, and who knows, maybe he will track down a gangster or two after all.
