"Jojo"

An exceptional dog looking for an exceptional family.  My name is JoJo and I am a two year old spayed female German Wirehaired Pointer.  There was just not enough time in the day for my family to spend with me, so I am looking for a family who has time.  My breed is known for hunting, but we are also affectionate family dogs who want nothing more than to spend time with our people.  I am crate trained and know sit and down.  I can live with cats, very unusual for a hunting breed, kids over eight years old and most dogs.  If you already have a dog make sure to bring him or her to the shelter to meet me.  Because I was not on a regular schedule I am not completely housetrained.  Housetraining is easy to teach and learn, so don’t let that keep you from taking me home.  Not only do the staff at the shelter say I am affectionate, but I am also smart.  I want my new family to make the most of me and my breeding by taking me to obedience classes.  That will let us learn to work as a team.   From there we can spend time together doing things like hiking, jogging, agility, tracking. . . the possibilities are endless.  Don’t let this exceptional opportunity pass you by.

Fill out and print an application or send an application online.

Donate Now, the transfer dogs all need medical care including spay and neuter surgeries.

Volunteer Opportunity, the transfer dogs need volunteers to assist with cleaning the shelter and helping out with laundry
